Step 1: Make A Content Delivery Commitment

Creating amazing content - writing, audio, video - is more art than science. However, growing a paying audience requires discipline, data and processes. That’s why we’ve combined our experience and best practices from around the world to help you grow this kind of audience over time.

How often will you create and market your content to your target audience? This is THE question to answer and forms the basis for your content deliver commitment.

Inklpay is designed to support this content commitment and works exclusively on WordPress websites through a free plugin. This easy-to-install plugin gives you control over which posts are free, which posts are ‘paid’ and which ones are ‘tipped” (where your audience can tip you for your efforts).

WHEN A POST IS 'PAID'

Your audience will see the first parts of your post which might include an image and first paragraphs before the content fades and your see a button to ‘Get this article for 10c’.

The first time a member of your audience clicks on ‘Get this article for 10c’, they will be asked to register with inklPay using an email and password. This grants them three free reads on inklPay-enabled sites and access to inkl itself. We provide the initial free reads to the reader, but still pay you for them.

Each time they return to your site (or another inklPay enabled site) they can sign in to pay to access your content.

On their fourth read of a paid post on an inklPay enabled site, they will be asked to deposit $3 into their inklPay account which will be drawn down each time a paid post is read.

WHEN A POST IS 'FREE'

Your audience will see the whole post.

WHEN A POST IS 'TIPPED'

Your audience will see the whole post and will be prompted to tip you when they arrive at the end of the post. Simple!

The first time a member of your audience clicks on ‘Thank the writer with a 10c tip!', they will be asked to register with inklPay using an email and password. This grants them three free tips of 10c on inklPay-enabled sites and access to inkl itself. We provide the initial free tips to the reader, but still pay you for them.

Each time they return to your site (or another inklPay enabled site) they can sign in to tip you for the posts which are set to ‘tipped’.

On their fourth read of a paid post on an inklPay enabled site, they will be asked to deposit $3 into their inklPay account which will be drawn down each time a paid post is read.
